“Once upon a time, I thought faeries lived only in books, old folktales, and the past. That was before they burst upon my life as vibrant, luminous beings, permeating my art and my everyday existence, causing glorious havoc.”

Springtime greetings, dears!
& Beltane blessings to you!
Beltane (pronounced BEY-al-TIN-ah) is the Celtic celebration of springtime in it's full glory. It's translation from Irish Gaelic to English is something like bright fires, as this is the festival of fire, fertility, and abundance. Astronomically, Beltane is celebrated on the day that marks the halfway point between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice, which falls on May 5th this year. When following the Roman calendar, many have adopted Beltane to be celebrated on May 1st, even though it’s technically not marking the cross quarter. Personally, I follow the calendar of the cosmos, so May 5th is my Beltane...but really, I’m celebrating all week, because why not!

To bestow my Beltane blessings upon you, I've created a playlist to get you in the springtime spirit, and perhaps a little more attuned to the Faye folk. I recommend playing this one on shuffle to let the fairies orchestrate the order!

May you find pleasure in the simplest of moments,
let spring’s abundant blessings shower down on you,
& dance to the tune of the Faye’s magic melody.
Luminous love,
Jessica
