A glimpse of movement,
the flutter of your feathers.
Footsteps halt when the wave of your presence washes over us.
A softening strength permeates the structure of my spirit.
From children's book to storyteller's tales,
no telling of your quiet mystery paints a picture quite like
the brush strokes of being held by your visit.
A fox walk upon fallen needles
& damp soil brings us closer.
Stillness lands; we all stand in solitude.
Rotation winds to your right.
We meet with gaze,
we all see & are seen.
To be taken in by the black globes of your sight,
serenaded by what lives within the dark realms of your visions.
What a wondrous realization it is -
to know I could weave my energies through many forms,
across varied lands & numerous lifetimes,
never growing tired of your wild eyes
peering down into mine.
communion with a Barred Owl at the Hoyt Arboretum
In honor of the Autumnal Equinox, fall into the mysterious realms of the autumn season with this collection of songs I've made for you, inspired by the locking of eyes with a barred owl at dusk.
I promised I would be back seasonally to offer the goods of gracious gathering! Returning to my NYC lady tribe to host a seasonal women's gathering where we will ground down into the fall energy and explore how we can best take care of ourselves during this transition from summer to fall.
