Hi darling!
I'm headed to the Windy City soon for a weekend of performing and birthday celebrations. In honor of my birthday and International Women's Day (I love that they coincide!), as well as my ongoing journey with the rewilding of women's health, I'm sharing a video that is equal parts hilariously entertaining and informative. Whether you bleed each month or not, this PSA about castor oil packs is not just for menstruating women. Because castor oil packs are a lovely healing practice for anyone with a body, so I'm pretty certain that applies to you!
I've found castor oil packs to be tremendously helpful over the years. From soothing achilles tendonitis flare ups, to easing sacral pain, and as highlighted below, nourishing and healing several female specific ailments. Click on the image below to watch the video and prepare to laugh out loud while becoming a more informed human being - what a wonderful way to learn!

The takeaways:
No.1 Use only organic, cold pressed, hexane free castor oil packaged in a glass bottle. I love this Heritage Store castor oil, not only because the Heritage Store hails from my hometown in Virginia, but it checks all the right boxes.
No.2 Soak an unbleached flannel cloth with castor oil, place it on your abdomen with a hot water bottle on top, and let the castor oil pack do its thing for about an hour.
No.3 Cycle - I personally find 3 days on, 4 days off to be a good rhythm for me. But to be honest, that rarely happens. So when I can't get that ideal cycling schedule on lock, I opt for 2-3 times a week, with a day or 2 in between.
& guys, even though you don't have a uterus and ovaries, you're in luck...because castor oil packs can be applied to any area of the body that could use some healing. Sore joints, sluggish digestion, an old (or new) injury is inflamed and letting you know? Put a castor oil pack on it!

Watery wishes,
another spin around the sun.
Wind will turn to rain,
the earth will also be born again,
as winter reveals spring.
Blessed be, from a very grateful birthday gal.
Luminous love,
Jessica
